Evening Stroll (open)

The heart of the city, where humans and Kindred parade together through the night. Lit by new style gas lights and humming with the sound of people eating, drinking, laughing, crying, living and dying, the centre of Bath is the jewel in the crown of the ancient city.

Jean-Jacques catches merediths glances and smiles

“You are indeed a fine judge of character Meredith, a fine example to your clan”

“Ah yes talking of such, I would suggest those that may wish to seek further knowledge of the Lupercalia liaison at the expense of a boon peruse the harpy’s records for a major boon in favour of said Neonate of the Rose.”

He glances conspiratorially around as he whispers somewhat loudly as he says this

“What lovely colours, yet the emerald is a little too dark, I happen to know the lady in question often chooses adornments in pastel shades, lime greens, pastel blues, subtle ochres “

“Oh I was quite forgetting, Angelina, do you recall the games that entertained us as we arrived early at the salon in reading?”

“I am unsure what came over us that evening, but I do recall our esteemed Keeper , Elder Price become quite familiar with Ancilla Valmont’s intromittent apparatus”

Grace smiles at the mention of Elder Price, "He's a fast mover isn't he. I think there much come a point when you are they Elder an Elder when you rise above everything else and just do what you what to do."

"I mean as I walked to have a privare chat with him. Hermina shouted that he had five minutes which is far too short a time to discuss the matter we had to discuss, after I turned down his polite enquiry" Grace smiles.

"I thought Hermina's comment a little odd but it did make me take notice of how quickly Elder Price and Elder Keane disappeared and then the smile on their faces only three mins later. I find it reassuring to know that not all Elders are unfeeling. It's nice that they had fun."

Jean-Jacques looks at his guardian,

She’s such an angel, well that’s to me anyway, but this is too good to miss

He leans in to the group and ushers them closer and whispers , whilst smiling

“Rumour has it...”

He sniggers

“Rumour has it that the occasion was somewhat boasted by Elder Keane, but Elder Price was unavailable for comment, perhaps a sore point for him as indeed the former was heard to boast..”

In a very poor imitation of a welsh accent he continues

“I just buggered ‘im!”

He glances at Meredith and winks

“Rearguard action”

Gloved hands cover Merediths shocked expression at the vulgar word, she appears to be lost for words while she processes everything that has been said.

"You mean-"

Meredith leans in and whispers, "That Elder Pryce and Elder Kean...fornicated? Not that they had a conversation, don't you? And rear guarding is...well not protecting a ladies dress from a wall...goodness! I would never have thought or even believed that such a thing be possible. That is to say, of course I knew of the subject but, are the Elders always so rampant?"

Does that mean I was mistaken at the Lupercarlia, did he actually want to?

"Truth be told, I would have thought it to be the other way round with Elder Keane and Elder Price. Price has such a masculine air whereas Elder Kean seems to have this lovely softness that surrounds him. Perhaps I was mistaken" She giggles.

"Well, I understand that for a number of Elders the evening was in the nature of a act of the faith. So don't be too shocked my dear at their enthusiasm"

"Oh of course! After all it was a celebration of love and love comes in many forms. Do you reckon that's why the spirits where there?"

Jean-Jacques remains in close as he listens to the conjecture on the arrival of the spirits.

I cannot be certain, but yet the memory is implanted so vividly, it just might be a factor...oh for fucks sake this is amusing so come on Lorcan get out of your damn cups and share the damn thing will you!

He glances at Grace, shrugs slightly before facing the group, again a whisper

“Rumour has it...well actually I hear this from a close acquaintance, so the rumour is somewhat acquired more validity..”

“Outside the manor , around the time after the...er implications of the ritual were becoming apparent, there gathered a group of unknown heritage, in a small clearing in the nearby woodland, the moon was clear, their faces, however dark against sight”

He looks around to ensure there are no eavesdroppers

“You see those gathered discarded their robes, they were then naked in the moonlit glade.”

“They shared a cup, each drinking, and were chanting in a language unknown to the observer”

He pauses and looks around once more

“Then, each in turn collapsed and writhed upon the ground, they gathered in a group and began, well copulating is the best way to describe it”

“My acquaintance explained to me that what followed was somewhat gruesome, but that he believed he saw two ethereal forms rise from the once writhing forms and move towards the manor...”

“Naturally it’s likely a lot of pish, but still you can never tell eh?”

"Oh I don't think it is a load of Phis Sir. A lot of strange things have been happening of late and so it would be no surprise to me that this would come. I even heard, from a valuable source on these things, that it was Miss Day who invited Elder Mordrid who was potentially involved in the forest scene. That perhaps he invited the Spirits to this place and it was indeed the cup that was the instigator."

Meredith looks around again using her heightened senses to ensure no one is listening to close, "Though I have also heard that it was the mixture of blood that enticed the spirits to our manor and it was a mere coincidence. And while blood of course is a powerful weapon often there would indeed have to be some form of rite to call upon spirits like this. The real question is, who disappeared amongst the upheaval and why would they want to bring this upon our court? I cannot see it being for pure laughter."

Wondering if she said too much, "Of course I am but a neonate so have little consequence and my pondering is much my own."

Grace starts to look extremely uncomfortable.
"Speculation on this topic isn't advisable,"

A turmoil of emotion for everything to do with the events linked to the cup stirs. She didn't want Jacques to talk about what happened to him, nor about who had left the party at various points before they were all stranded there together nor about the gaping hole inside of her, which was worse than any wound.

"I am sure the offical investigation will inform us."

Angelina followed the others down the rows of stalls, picking up a burgundy ribbon as the others looked. One that matched her dress, and she considered it a moment till Jean-Jacques asked her about the evening before the salon. She looked up at him and hesitated. "I think I had retired before what you are referring to. I only stayed briefly for the game of questions before a few small conversations and then I retired." She explained, remembering that night, and the first time she had knowingly experienced someone using a discipline against her. She shifted slightly at the memory, and glanced down.

The conversation about the spirits made her yet even more uncomfortable. Such descriptions of such lude acts. This truly was not appropriate for out on the streets. But she didn't need to protest before the Ancilla stepped in.

"I agree with our Ancilla. Speculation is not a sensible sport at this time. There is a formal investigation underway, and I am sure that all those involved will be informed of results, and if there is anyway to correct the changes that occured."
