Sheriff's manor - Culture Tour After-Party

For those Northern Haunts that either remain unspecified or too specific to fit into any other category. For example, if you wish to post a one-shot on your character's activities in their Haven but don't wish to advertise the fact of it's existence in a specific district.

Looking over in reply to John-Jacques

"Jean-Jacques, I shall not partake, leave more for those who appreciate its affects.

Elder Dukes, is there perhaps any of the books for regifting that would wish to join me in particular? Some things do like to choose who they wish to be with afterall."

Hermina almost snatches the poppy tea out Jean Jaques hand and starts to gulp it down. She closes her eyes to experience the feeling spreading through out her body. It is not often nowadays she gets a chance to feel the sweet arms of Morpheus wrap around twice in one night. She lies down on a free chaise longe and blissfully smiles at the assembled kindred.

“Yes, Durham darling. A party... hosted by Dukes. In our own home. You would think he would have warned us. We could have arranged all sorts of delights on his behalf. Durham find me a candle and a book that you think suits me, I have not the motivation to move currently.”

Turning to the Architect, “let’s continue enjoying each other’s company. Please bring a chair here next to me.”

“Did some say there is more poppy tea?”
Elder Hermina Zaragoza of the Clan Tremere
(Scholar and hedonist)

Darling be anything but boring.

Dukes regards Durham, his face rapidly draining of emotion.
"You have a guest here? I thought I'd asked you to..."
His face grows cold.

He pauses...eyeing the neonate.
"No, you wouldn't dare, you know better, nevermind."
Dukes gestures at the room.
"Most of our guests you have met before. Those you may be unfamiliar with are Elder Beaufort, Ancilla Stoked and..."
An audible chuckle as the opium kicks in.
"Mister ahem Elder Aurelia. Sisters of Thessaly, this stuff makes your brew taste like ass-water Durham."
At Andross's request.
"Yes, there's a book about the djinn nemeses of the Yazata on the bottom shelf. Fables about children scaring off strange bargaining beasts from Persia. Take that one."

Jean-Jacques, not having borne witness to such delights since his Before his arrival in Sulis, briefly lets his mind wander.

His aura radiates a pleasant calmness,

He ears are alerted to the request of Hermina to Aldrich and he moves, less shakily now he has recovered from the initial wave of the drug to stand near the architect should he require assistance in moving his chair.

“A politician in the making,” Aurelia states dryly as Jean-Jaques pours the tea. She gives a loose salute to the air, taking the seat beside Aldrich for formality. She doesn’t bat an eye at the order of drinks, having had similar hierarchies imposed for centuries in her own clan. Despite what the public consensus was, High and Low clans still very much existed.

She looks up at Durham’s words with a smile, but falters at the monstrosity she feels there, it radiating off him. Aurelia’s expression wipes clear of its previous warmth and she considers him a moment. It’s not a tremendous pause, she having been used to those on alternate philosophies in life, but his energy still rankled her beast.

“You must be.. Durham?” She hedges with an eyebrow raised, hearing Hermina mention it.

Aldrich smiles "now now elder. I've made myself comfortable already." He pats the chair to his left "please" he smiles

He nods to durham and looks down at this cup before relaxing further into his chair.

Grace's snorts her tea then coughs to cover it.
She looks down at the cup.

"Umm, this is a little strong?"

That's right, blame the tea

Jean-Jaques, upon hearing Herminas entreaties for more tea, risks a glance towards Aurelia, an enquiring look almost imperceptibly raised eyebrows and a fraction of a tilt of the head towards where the pot rests, having measured its remaining weight to gauge the remaining quantity.

"Yes, well, I've been dealing with poor sources of fun for sometime. And you know that Sophia despises me, won't even let me get close." He says eyeing the bird suspiciously. "Besides to most of us, Dukes, birds are simply boring."

Durham borrows one of Duke's unlit candles and grabs a random book off the shelf, seemingly at random.

"A pleasure to make your acquaintance, Mister Elder Aurelia and Elder Beaufort." He nods to both while striding round the chairs towards Hermina. "Archon Stoker, I believe we briefly had the pleasure at Elysium." He says with a smile that does not reach his eyes.

He drops the book into Hermina's lap, while placing the candle in easy reach. "Elder I'm sure you will enjoy Semler's 'Answering the Fragments of an Unknown'. It deals with topics I know you find resonant."

He takes a seat and drinks, smiling to Valentina and Andross and nodding his head to the others he knows in a quiet hello.

"And yes, I am Edward Charles William D'Arcy Lambton, Second Earl of Durham. Or Durham to most." If Durham notices any discomfort from Lady Aurelia, he does not show it.
