An Open Invite

A Gentlemen's Club in Lockscombe initially funded by a Ventrue who died in The Night of Fire. His Childe, one Master Vex, can still be occasionally seen relaxing in the study - the rare time that he is not up to his eyeballs jousting the judicial affairs of the kine. It is a private manor designed for the wealthy among Kindred, a place to relax and create alliances. Providing everything the typical Gentlemen's Club would have to satisfy a man's domestic needs, there is a library, a (often unused) dining hall, entertainment and games rooms, rooms for sleep, two washrooms and a large study. In many ways it resembles the typical Upper Class home. There is a separate entrance for staff to sleep, located on the side of the house.

Jean-Jacques looks across at Where Keane is seated,

“Primogen Keane, how many are inclined to cast off the modern shackles of clothing in these quests for wood?”

he pauses, considering

“Is this something done in company I mean, or as a whim?”

"Two-card win, sorry Laurence, rules are clear, the field is hers. "

Niketas holds up the deck and whispers to it.

Anton makes a face. "Anton the Dreadful doesn't have the same ring to it. Try: Anton the Unrestrained? Or even: Kilner the Tremendous! I don't want Anton the Awful, it's too familiar you know."

Anton chuckles, and finally begins to relax. "I am so glad you're not drinking. That means there's at least one other sane person, like an anchor in the storm. Dad's toast once he's started."

"Oh? Why do I call him Dad? Well, we're actually related, in a rounabout way. He's my ancestor, but a lot of generations back. He's like the world dad, because he had seventeen children in mortal life. Not all of them lived in the same tribe though. So yeah: Dad."

"Shut the fu-"

Anton forcibly bites down on his own words, forcing his head back away from the card table.

" - I think that the family resemblance is striking, don't you Envoy?"

Radiating innocent joy, Aurelia removes her other boot, and tucks them both beneath Dukes' chair before getting up.

"Excellent! I am going to make more tea for us all - in celebration." She dipped down to press a kiss against Dukes' hair, before straightening. "I want a new game though, this one seems risky."

With that, she side-steps the chairs, and takes a strangely non-direct route to the teapot on the coffee table. Aurelia picks it up, and ducks out into the kitchen.

"Seventeen children?!" Valentina's eyes widen in surprise. "Oh my!"

She pauses as a thought strikes her and giggles.

"Surely Great Grandfather would be more appropriate? Ypu could tell those who asked you were skipping some of the greats for the sake of brevity!"

"And yes, it is nice to know who else hasn't imbibed, isn't it? We can be the sober witnesses and gain new and glorious reputations for clearing up later." She grins conspiritorially at Anton.

She ignores Jean-Jacques entirely, deeming him as a trouble maker not worth listening to at this moment in time and hoping Anton will follow her lead.

"I think you are lucky indeed to have family to call upon and guide you through this tricky world of ours." And she smiles sweetly at Anton. "So, whilst they play at cards, will you entertain me as I sew? Tell me something interesting please, I have a mind to know more about you and your interests!"

"Seventeen children?"
Keane is perplexed and tries to remember his familial line.
"And whats dogging?" that word sounds particularly amusing in his accent.

Anton's smile slips when Valentina raises family, but he's quick to recover it with a more enthusiastic grin.

"Of course we can entertain you! We're the Clan of enterainment - oh wait no - that's the Toreador. And the Tremere of Bath, for some reason."

"Yeah, I don't take any substances, so it's nice not being the only sober one. Jokes become less funny when everyone's out of it, you know?" The smile becomes more gentle.

"Anyway. Let's make this at least partly appropriate for etiquette. Tit for tat, you tell me something interesting, and I'll tell you something interesting. Sound fair? Kindred society dictates these informal laws unless we're about to climb into bed together, which is impossible for three very specific reasons, only two of which are due to two particularly strict Princes being unhappy with that pairing."

"So. All right. Interesting factoid number one, I love horse-riding, and used to do a lot of steeple chasing. But a friend of mine, who was terrible at it, told me that horses going over jumps is all a pointless waste of time. It's the one thing I remember most about that year. And I genuinely lost sleep over it."

Anton slides a look to Keane, amused. "You showed me that parchment sheet you used to keep a tally on, out in the forest in the middle-era. It had seventeen on it. Or seven? Either way, it was a lot you stud."

"And dogging is when you watch people have sex in a forest. Sort of. For our purposes tonight let's use that and call it quits."
