Now the pattern is on the tie and it's merely a matter of stitching over it, Valentina has more free brain for things like talking. Mindful that she's the hostess and has rudely being ignoring her guests she searches for a topic of conversation.

"I'm sorry for my quietness just now, I do tend to get a little lost in my work..." she laughs ruefully.

"If I can beg your indulgence and request you entertain me as I work... I would ask, what do you make of Ancilla Blint?" She picks the name partly at random and partly out of genuine curiosity. Plus she's never heard anything bad about him, making him a probable safe topic of conversation. "He's such a quiet man, I can never make him out..."

here. She mentally sets her face to friendly before speaking.

"Ancillia Blint has been charming. He is always very polite and correct. In fact I enjoy his silence followed by very pertinent observations. We seem to be in agreement every time we have spoken. He maintains the Whip position and would be my first choice for that anyway given his established position in Aqua Sulis,"

"The last lengthy conversation we had was regarding winter provision for the poor of the city which has my utmost sympathies. I has told me his greatest concern is the health of the kine which I think most admirable."

Valentina looks interested at that last. "Oh? Commendable indeed. I must see if I can find him to ask his advice then." She smiles a little helplessly. "I appear to have acquired a small band of urchins who do deliveries and such for me, but really I don't know quite what to make of it, or what to do for them long term... Perhaps he can give me some ideas!"

As she talks, she's located a hank of vibrant purple silk thread and has started to sew, fingers flying as the needle darts through the fabric.

"I think talking to Ancillia Blint regarding your excess of urchins a excellent idea. Work is such a good solution to ensuring they are feed, housed and safe at night.

I am sure he will have some suggestions for you, Oh, what a beautiful colour," she says in response to the flourish of silk.

Actually I do have a question for you Elder Beaufort. Now that Elder Stone has been appointed Seneschal can we expect any change in the Ventrue Primogenship? I am not sure how it is usually handled by your clan.

"It was announced at the last Court and I presume not announced without the Prince's approval but I am sure all will become clear with time," Grace continues to watch Valentina sew.

"It was announced as a whole Court announcement. I think by Elder Price, as the Keeper, but I'm sorry I was somewhat distracted at the time,"

Grace glances to Valentina. Hoping that she isn't listening as reminding her of the awful moment of standing facing Valentina in public with a box of ashes to pass into her rightful keeping. That wasn't a moment she would ever intentionally remind Valentina of. It's still hurt to have had that duty to perform.
