The Night After The Party We Don't Talk About

For those Northern Haunts that either remain unspecified or too specific to fit into any other category. For example, if you wish to post a one-shot on your character's activities in their Haven but don't wish to advertise the fact of it's existence in a specific district.

Valentina for her part, is relieved when Alrdich's attention turns away from her again and she settles herself into the corner of the sofa to listen as Keane begins his tale.

Which holds her utterly captivated as she thrills along to the story, eyes wide, hands still and listening intently as Keane talks.

When he finishes, she needs a moment to come back into herself, but the knocking at the door happens instead and she jumps, before realising what it is and giving a small shamefaced laugh.

"That was a wonderful story, Elder thank-you!" She thanks Keane warmly.

She glances over to Dukes, wondering if she should offer to open the door, didn't he say his man had the night off? But then, isn't it a little odd to open the door of a house you do not reside in? She hesitates, unsure.

Aldrich's head instinctively turns to the foreign noise. He positions himself in his chair as to be facing the doorway

Flashing the man a polite smile, wasted because of the veil, the Nosferatu dutifully follows.

“Thank you ever so much. What sort of defences are they, if I may ask? I’m ever so curious how they might differ from my own Clan’s.”

Such a hardworking girl.

"Elder Beaufort, I'm afraid you'll be very limited in finding text on the language, it was based on oral tradition, what writing existed was an occult secret in and of itself as only the sages of the old clans could write it. What fragments I've... 'read' are limited to-"
Niketas listens to the stories, ready to mutter an observation, when he hears the knock.
He pauses, a flicker in the iris as he turns an ear towards the door.
"More visitors... more... visitors."
He turns to Aurelia.
"This is the underworld isn't it? I said something stupid last night, and you picked me up and split me over your knees. I am dead and my torment is a party."
He turns to the group.
"Durham has awakened."

Aldrich turns his attention to dukes.

"As I thought, a shame, thank you for the confirmation sheriff."

His eye passes over Valentina before returning to the doorway, eager to glimpse the new arrival.

"Alas I am not allowed to say. I have warned you, as is required and that is the last I shall say on that."

Durham leads Lenore directly to the library, avoiding the main hall by marching through a very under utilised dining room. He marches in, and announces: "Elders of the Camarilla, Envoy Audley, Ancilla Stoker," he gestures behind him, "the Neonate Lenore."

Afterwards he sits as if he had been here the entire time and not as recently arrived as Lenore at this gathering.

Niketas stands, walks over to a tied up bundle of white linen containing... what was once a book, picks it up, marches over to Durham, and drops it in his lap, aiming for the groin.
"It must be destroyed. If mundane methods don't work throw it into a damn volcano."
He returns to his seat, face placid, aura touched with amusement.

"Certainly", says Durham and ties the thing to his belt. "I shall find a volcano."

At Dukes proclamation that Durham has awakened Valentina smiles, her eyes crinkling in amusement.

She's listened to the talk on written works of Brythonic with interest, seemingly calmed by the story and then the academic discussion, so that when Aldrich's gaze passes over her, her aura is calmly passive.

Her curiosity is picqued by Lenore's arrival and she eyes the neonate with interest as Dukes bids Durham destroy what is left of the book.

It's not her place to question though, so she stays quiet, watching the room, waiting to hear what her elders have to say.

Laurence settles back more into his chair, almost relaxed now that Jean can’t cause any more wide scale issues for the time being. Upon Keane starting his story, Laurence cocks his head to one side slightly, listening intently to what the Malkavian Elder is saying.

When Durham and Lenore enter, he gives a nod to each of them.
