Sheriff's manor - Culture Tour After-Party

For those Northern Haunts that either remain unspecified or too specific to fit into any other category. For example, if you wish to post a one-shot on your character's activities in their Haven but don't wish to advertise the fact of it's existence in a specific district.

Hermina is transfixed by Durham and it almost seems to her a part of an opium dream. On hearing the challenge from Durham.

She whispers in his ear, “Seduction hey? Would I still count?”

Aurelia's jaw is slack - her gesture forgotten, arms aloft and hands prettily arranged from where she'd begun to tie the bandage around Dukes eyes. But she's stopped now, entirely aborted, her head turned and her eyes a little glazed as the finale of the show burns itself onto her retinas.

The spectacle was rather strange for Jerome lying on the floor as he was, head not too far from Durham's chosen perch and witnessing it all occurring upside down and in duplicate for some reason. Jerome let the call of the neonate's caustic aura wash over his beast, like rubbing yourself with sandpaper it felt both wrong and right at the same time. A smile emerges on his face as the image begins to bob up and down.

Keane sits and 'appreciates' the spectacle. Again not entirely surprised, it's nothing that hasn't been happening since time immemorial. That and his technique was a bit sloppy. Keane shrugs, things were a lot simpler without manners.

Dukes, eyes closed tight, fingers in his ears, turns his head from left to right.
"Has he started yet?" he asks the room, apparently oblivious. "I can't hear him or see..."
He sniffs, retching at the smell.
"That... is a finishing smell. Durham.... get out of here and clean yourself up. And if you can't do right by what's left of the book, have the decency to kill it quickly."
He sits there, willfully blind and deaf until he is certain Durham has left the room.

'Do right by the book' does he mean compse a new smaller book child made from the scraps of remaining words and cover? Those were the thoughts crossing Adross's mind as he waited his clanmates actions and challenge.

Jean-Jacques regards Durhams performance from his seat alongside Hermina, his impression of the kindred only confirmed by the spectacle on display.

With some trepidation, he awaited his dare from the same.

“Sank you Durham, I shall oblige.”

He stands, gently replacing his lap with a soft cushion for Herminas head.

“Excuse moi, Elder Hermina,”

He moves to the lecturn.

“Ze great dispute between ze ancients and ze moderns ees not yet settled, eet ‘as been on ze table sance ze ze silver age succeeded ze golden age. Mankind ‘as alvays maintained zat ze good old times were better zan ze present day. Nestor in ze Illiad wishing to insert ‘imself as a weese councellor in ze minds of Achilles and Aagamemnon starts by saying to zem:”

Jean-Jacques moves his body, no longer addressing the room, but now directing his speech and eye contact with Hermina

“E leaved formerly wiz better men zan you, non!”

His voices raises in passion as he speaks.

“EE ‘ave never seen and ee shall never zee zuch great personages as Dryas, Cenaeus, Exadius, Polyphemus equal to all ze gods zat have stood astride zis earth.”

“Until zis evening, Elder, non, zuch a visage of perfection as indeed all ze gods and ze forces of nature cood not compare.”

He pauses, a yearning look upon his face, passion etched across his face, staring directly at Hermina, he pauses.

Aldrich coughs and then mutters something under his breath.

"Did someone put a book in themselves? Or did I slip from conciousness." He asks but doesn't seem to care for the answer. He mumbles "oh princess, you are an interesting character." His words heavily slurred.

Her eyes open wide, quite stunned by his speech.

“My darling, you are truly are the romantic one.”

It is as if she has forgotten that this is a dare through her opium soaked mind.

Aurelia tenses abruptly, a shuttered gaze sliding to Aldrich. She covers her pause by returning her attention to Dukes head, painting on a light smile while re-wrapping her bandages and giving the Sheriff his sight back.
