Sheriff's manor - Culture Tour After-Party

For those Northern Haunts that either remain unspecified or too specific to fit into any other category. For example, if you wish to post a one-shot on your character's activities in their Haven but don't wish to advertise the fact of it's existence in a specific district.

Jerome smiles at Jean-Jacques as he joins, any previous sense of ire gone as they focus on the spirit. As Jean-Jacques starts to sing the children's rhyme Jerome adjusts his melody to adapt creating a harmony to support. His voice is not that of a skilled artist like Miss Daye, but a strong grasp of musical understanding goes a long way to making up the distance.

As the child drifts off and begins to recede, Jerome rises and returns to the door.

Valentina has been pretending to be lost in her book as cover for an undignified fit of giggles when Jean-Jacques drops Hermina.

She looks up and smiles at Keane as he sits next to her debating asking him about how he sees his visions when Aurelia asks about singing.

"It sounds like Elder Price" she smiles looking up into the room properly for the firdt time in a while. Unlike the others she's not partaken of the poppy tea and so her wits are clear enough to make out Jerome's voice.

"Really?" Aurelia says doubtfully. "It sounds... French to me. Nevermind." She stares balefully at the cup. "It's going to be that sort of night, I can tell. Where are comfier chairs..."

Dukes returns to the library, his aura subdued and sombre. At the doorway he pauses, lifted a little by the song behind him.
He walks around the tables, giving a glance to a few of the guests as he passes. Eyeing the counter, he selects a bottle of brandy-spiked blood, pries off the cork with his teeth, and swigs from the bottle.
"Singing a ghost to sleep... they're such sweethearts. Myself... I'm not one for sentimentality."
A smile burying conflicting emotions. Dukes sinks into a deep leather sofa and sighs, leaving space for others if they need it.

"I believe the Elder speaks french." She smiles.

"Elder Keane, " she starts hesitantly in a low voice. "Forgive my curiosity, but what do you mean by blind experimentation please?" Curiosity threads her aura as she asks.

Being called Elder again somewhat returns Keane to his senses. He smiles then rewinds a few minutes and get nervous.
"I... Um... It is difficult to describe. As with most things it requires some... Talent already. After that it is a matter of just, well, trying things until something works. Suggestions can be of use I suppose, as the Ancilla suggested. But it is all a bit unique, very personal you see."
He tries to think of a better way to frame it.
" I suppose, imagine trying to decide what kind of fashion is your favourite. But you can only look at one dress at a time and you have to make them yourself."
He stops, not sure if he has made things any more or less clear. He wasn't aware of singing but notices it has stopped.

"But it sounded like that Brujah," she gestured with the teacup, now squinting at Valentina. "You're having me on."

"Wait - I don't care enough. Envoy Audley, you are a Toreador." The squint turns into narrowed thought. "You are a Clan of good ideas. Please start a game."

Valentina laughs lightly. "But that is more or less what I do Elder." Her eyes twinkle mischievously and she's about to say something more on the subject when Aurelia requests a game.

"Well Elder Aurelia, truth or dare is ever popular at parties. We could chance our luck at that?" She gives Aurelia an innocent smile entirely at odds with the sly sparkle of her eyes.

Dukes rolls his eyes.
"Seven shades, truth games?"
He sits up, glancing at the elders in the room.
"Ask me a question, keep it light, nothing life-threatening or protected by prestation."

"Yes," Aurelia says unwisely, never having heard of it before.
