Announcement from Master Harpy Darrieux - August 1882

Postby Marie Darrieux » Wed Aug 23, 2017 11:35 am

[IC letter from the Master Harpy to all kindred of the Domain that Marie has contact details for. Delivered the night after Prince Francis' letter.]

Kindred of Aquae Sulis,

I send you greetings and hope you are all well. It is with a heavy heart that I write to you this night. Over the past months there have been two occasions on which boons have been broken by an Elder of this domain. The first I forbore to announce because the grantor of the boon is no longer attending court regularly and I felt that we had had enough turmoil and needed stability, the second I only acquired proof of at the Elysium a few nights past.

In my role as Harpy, it is vital that I let it be known when members of the domain, especially those who should be most committed to the system of prestation, fail to uphold it. Boons regulate our society and are one of the means by which we ensure that the base impulses of our deceitful beasts are not allowed to rule us.

Therefore, let it be known that Zhaspar Clyntahn, so-called Architect of the Camarilla, has failed to repay boons, when requested by the Grantor, twice in the last six months. One of these was of major denomination, one of them minor, yet both are grievous sins against those kindred and indeed our whole domain. For this behaviour, I declare Zhaspar Clyntahn Disgraced among the Camarilla, and he shall remain so even should he manage to overturn the Bloodhunt against him. I would advise all kindred of the domain to think carefully about any promises he makes to give boons for favours in his present circumstances. Firstly, as one forsaken, he is incapable of giving or receiving boons, secondly, he has proven beyond a doubt that even when shown leniency by the Master harpy, he continues to betray our faith. Such a kindred can never be trusted and is unfit to hold Praxis of the lowliest hamlet, never mind a noble and ancient city such as ours.

Yours Faithfully,

Master Harpy, Marie Darrieux.
