[Valentina Audley]

As Uriah speaks, Valentina is relieved, both in that he doesn't appear angry and in the fact she had already told Keane she wasn't available and kept their relationship within the bounds of the new found chastity Uriah appeared to expect her to keep to.

When he asks the general question her aura flickers with nerves, but, then, thankfully Marchaux provides her with a temporary out. She knows Keane speaks Brythonic, given Andross' antecedents she's confident he does as well (whoever said visions didn't bring any useful insight?) and given Uriah's history she was confident he too, spoke the language.

So she allows herself to move a little, landing a curious gaze on Jean-Jacques before looking to the others. Speaking in Ancient Brythonic she says "Is the Childe quite well? Only, I had conversation with both Lissa and Durham and they do not seem to... have been affected as he has." Her chosing not to name him seems to have been deliberate, so as not to give him any clue she is talking about him.

Looking to Uriah she answers him, seemingly having forgotten she's switched to Ancient Brythonic. "I have some peculiar memories of things I do not think I would have done on other nights Your Highness." Her aura shows embarrassment and discomfort at the memories.

[Lady Grace]

Outside there is a piercing whistle

Laurence;
“I LEFT BECAUSE I COULDN’T STAND ANOTHER MOMENT INSIDE WITH THAT MAN. I LEFT BECAUSE I WANTED TO MAKE SURE YOU WERE SAFE. I LEFT BECAUSE I THOUGHT I SHOULD INFORM YOU I MADE YOUR APOLOGIES FOR YOU.”

Grace;
"SAFE??
SAFE, HA"

"HE SAID I COLLARED YOU ALL",
"IS THAT WHAT YOU THINK?"

[Lady Grace]

Laurence raises his voice again in response,
“YES! SAFE, CARED FOR, PROTECTED FROM WHAT WOULD DO YOU HARM.”

“DO EXPLAIN WHY THE FUCK I WOULD EVER THINK THAT, YOU UNITED OUR CLAN. YOU BROUGHT A BUNCH OF ANGRY KINDRED TOGETHER AND YOU KNOW WHAT, I CANNOT DESCRIBE HOW GLAD I AM THAT YOU DID.”

[Andross Blint]

Andross gives Valentina a look of raised eyebrow and minor amusement before a shrug to himself more than anything and responding similarly in Ancient Brythonic.

"His speech and movements seem more deliberate and controlled than when he first returned, Elder Keane may be able to provide a more experienced explanation on the workings of the mind, however i believe Jean-Jacques is simply quite slow, at recovering his self, after all the chain of events and experiences with the spirits and other guests likely was quite taxing and stressful to his mind.
As for Durham and Lissa, i know Durham was claimed as a ghoul by clan Tremere so likely wasn't put through quite as many changes as Jean-Jacques, though i saw little of Lissa to know what was happening on her part."

Returning to modern English for as he turms back to speak to Uriah

"As Jean-Jacques has said, there are indeed some emotional and thought changing experiences that will likely linger on with me forever...."

The shouts from outside giving temporary pause to Andross

"...but i shall adapt as everyone shall to what has occured to them, that is what we do.

It would seem clan Brujah has made an insult towards yourself Prince Uriah. Though it may mostly be the case of that fool Ancillae Stoker, he has misrepresented the clan by shouting such. Offer you a major boon from myself to forgive myself, Primogen Granville, the childe Jean-Jacques and clan Brujah for being connected to him and his thoughts. He has made too many insults of late and bad choices in need of appropriate punishment, i will not ask you to withhold from seeking a punishment for what you feel is right, but might i ask you agree on something suitable with Primogen Granville in order to take into account all the wrongdoings he has commited in these last few days?"

[Uriah]

Uriah looks genuinely surprised at Valentina and gives her an almost appreciative glance, even the hint of smile. As Andross speaks he listens and doesn't seem to react in the slightest, instead waiting for the kindred to say his piece. (Speaking in English)
"That is a most honorable responce, Ancilla Blint. Very well, I shall accept your terms. I will not make immediate responce, but rather seek to speak with the Primogen on the subject first. That is of course, so long as things do not escalate any further."
All of this is said in a pleasant, if somewhat flat tone. He turns back to Valentina, his stoicism breaking ever so slightly. (Now in Brythonic)
"Well, isn't this a pleasant surprise? Did you learn the Ancient language for my benefit? A remarkably pleasant gift I must say. I could just begin to warm to you Valentina."
He regards her and awaits a responce.

When Valentina speaks in Brythonic, Keane looks at her with a very mild expression of panic. He pulls himself together and refocuses on the conversation. Then with the shouting outside, his eyes go wide and he looks at Uriah. Andross makes his apology and Uriah seems to accept it. Keane waits, not daring to interrupt the exchange between Valentina and Uriah.

Uriah's appreciative glance and use of her name cause Valentina's aura to flare with surprised wonder. She notes Keane's panic and wishes again that she dared to touch him. A squeeze of the hand would be incredibly useful right now, but there is no time.

((All said in Brythonic))

"I wanted to understand you, Your Highness." She begins. "And I wondered, if speaking this tongue would bring me closer to that knowledge. And as I was owed a boon by one who could speak it, it seemed to make sense to learn it."

She pauses, gathering her thoughts. "I'm sorry, for if I had known how much it would please you I should have spoken in this tongue last night as well." She looks down. "I didn't want for you to think me presumptuous by doing so."

She pauses again, as though gathering herself. Keane knows already, Marchaux doesn't understand and well... Andross likely will understand and if he doesn't, well it's not like you often have to interact with him is it? she tells herself.

"I must offer you a minor boon in apology though, for whilst I can and do speak this tongue... At this moment I am compelled to, by reasons I do not fully understand. Whenever someone speaks the name of the ah, illustrious guest who appeared last night, I find I cannot converse in any other tongue for some minutes."

And she waits, anxiety evident in her aura, to see what he would say.

[Uriah]

Uriah nods, then returns to a passive expression.
"I think perhaps we should consider that boon you offered me settled. Though this should make for a more pleasant journey together at least. I suspect that such a journey is likely to be the calm before the storm."
He let's that sentiment sit for a moment.
"Though I am led to wonder just how many speak such an ancient tongue in these modern nights."
He looks at Andross when he speaks but doesn't question any further.

Keane is trying to think of something to change the subject with. It is fairly clear that Valentina isnt going to want any kind of contact with Uriah here. Jean-Jacques is too risky a proposition right now. He decides whilst they are all speaking Brythonic he can at least move away from more troublesome topics.
(In Brythonic)
"Ancilla Audley, I was wondering if you had time this month available to look at my new robe. I did buy one as you weren't free but it isn't nearly as nice as any of the things you've made. Would you look at it for me, for that minor boon you granted me?"
While his aura is restrained his voice has the slight cracked edge of jangling nerves.
"I brought it with me!" He states the obvious a little triumphantly. Then reaches down and picks up the now somewhat dryer but fairly well sealed package.
