After the Fight [Private RP, Upstairs Bedroom]

A half-way house for the weary Kindred, this old tavern is set back off the road in its own grounds, in the heart of the countryside. Nominally still in Reading's catchment area, and thus sanctuary, this beautiful ivy-climbed cottage is Kindred-friendly (and Kindred approved!). It is a sprawling barn conversion with twenty light-tight quaint rooms, two wings and a central lounge area overlooked by the balcony of the story above. There are small parlours and a library. Outside, a split carriage path winds around a wishing well, leading to the stables and the apple orchid at the back. Beyond the orchid, is a dark forest. No one knows how the cottage stays clean.

Raife wrinkled his nose and cast a vaguely horrified look at Keane and then about the room - the state of which was clearly not to his standards.

"You must be jok - ah no thank you, sire." Raife backtracked and coughed, trying to cover his unnecessary rudeness, "I came from the room I have already paid for, in fact."

Raife rubbed the swollen bruise on his face and got to his feet, trying to offer Anton an arm as he did so.

"Do you require me to return directly to the house? I have some matters..." Raife seemed distracted by Anton and his steadiness, not meeting Keane's gaze and lacking his usual directness, "Yes, tomorrow then. Farewell."

Anton, who drew all his bravado from the fact he'd been sitting down, was now white as a sheet as he stood. A first bold statement - a bid for his own independent of action, as he made to wave Raife off him - changed rapidly, as he stumbled into the other boy, with a note of stress.

He swallowed hard and frowned; his full focus on the middle distance, and his pupils very small. "We'll - see you - later. Thank you Keane - I mean - Primogen."
Day 29. I really don't like Methuselah.
