A New Prince

This is Lady Leverson's opening speech at the last Elysium...

I, am Lady Gyenydd Leverson, Master Elder of clan Brujah, Childe of the War Lord Arwyn, Shield maiden of to the House of Trevelan, and I seize praxis here in Aquae Sulis.
I stand here under my own strength, this throne has been taken not given, and if any of you, would like to offer me the chance to anoint my ascension in your blood make your challenge known now.
You all know that the previous Prince was the grand childe of Lord Emperor Mithras and you may be under the disillusion that I am serving as a regent of his. I am not. He names himself, the rightful ruler of the British Isles, king Mithras, if this were true he would be taking away all authority and power of every Prince in the land. This is not what the Camarilla way.
I stand for the Camarilla, I will protect its traditions and laws with every ounce of my being until my final night.
If you wish to serve Mithras, this is not the city for you, if you are against the Camarilla I, without exception, will hunt you down.
If you fear Mithras then,again, this is not the city for you. I have already been privileged enough to receive a missive from him, in his own hand no less. A letter stating clearly how quickly the eyes of justice would return to this city if his instructions are not followed. If his claim of being able to control the Justicar and have them ordered here again is genuine, it is a threat that I am sure will raise the passions of any of you who endured the nights of fire, and who saw comrades needlessly slaughtered.
I also received a letter from Arcadius Agustas, reminding me that the throne is only mine if Redfern is destroyed. He seems to believe that we are still under his dominion.
With that said it should now come as no shock to you when I ask two of our kindred to return again to Elysium.
(Redfern and Knox are brought in).
Since the Prince that called the bloodhunt on Mr Redfern and Mr Knox is no longer sovereign here I remind you all that it is now void, further to that it is in my authority that I remove the curse of forsaken from them.
Mr Redfern, saw the truth of the matter. He with others in this court sought to free us from the grasp of Mithras. I admit that there has been considerable and regrettable collateral damage, Mr Redfern is now responsible for the reparations. There was no breach of the masquerade in fact the actions of these kindered were an attempt to strengthen and protect the ivory tower therefore as Sovereign in this city I name them both loyal.
(Redfern and Knox rejoin their clan).
If I have not made myself clear enough for everyone thus far I now address the matter of officers in my court. Arcadius Augustus gave the caveat that I keep those who he named in the positions he appointed. I wish to ensure this fife is strong and united so I am appointing those who I trust and perceive as loyal to the Ivory Tower.
Mr Beauclare please step forward, this past season has proved to me your faithfulness to the Ivory Tower with this in mind and as sovereign of this court I name you loyal and bestow upon you the position of Seneschal.
Mr Sissyfuss please step forward. You obedience and commitment to the tasks asked of you has been impressive, your honestly and forthrightness have earnt you the position of Sheriff in my court. I name you loyal and bestow upon you the position of Sheriff.
Mr Criplington-Smythe please step forward. For you proven and known abilities and the trust that exists between us, I bestow upon you the position of Scurge.
Viktor please step forward. As Prince it is not in my power to offer the position of Master Harpy however it is important to me that this court see's I acknowledge you as an officer of this court. As I can not offer you a title but do publicly give my support to your position.
These are the most senior officers of my court. You will treat them with the respect and honor due to them.
Before I retire for a short while to see to some matters that do not need the attentions of the whole court, I would like to address the subject of Primogens. In an hour I will call you together, to deal with the matter of fealty and acceptance in my city. Every clan here must have a Primogen, it would be my preference that Primogen attend Elysium regularly or appoint a whip who can speaking in their stead.
Your Primogens speak for you and your clans, think carefully on who you trust to represent you.
This is also time for you to consider if Bath is the place in which you will reside.
For those who claim a Primogen seat, I will expect you to introduce and new kindred to me and the court when we next convene.
