Keane looks at Dukes, nods and smiles but doesn't say anything. He squirrels that information away for later. Definitely quirking his curiosity. He makes no mention however and instead continues to speak with Price.
"Yes, 'transcending need for interpretation' I agree. It has definitely managed to inspire emotion within me without any sense of higher understanding. I would be most interested to discover the opinion of one who more often enjoys such arts, such as our toreador companion perhaps."
He looks at Valentine as he speaks.

Aurelia smiles, a little emptily, but otherwise accepts Beaufort's gesture.

To Jerome she blinks languidly. "Enjoy the music? I did, thank you." Aurelia exhales - but her tone is genuine. "I find that music, as any art form - from Longsword to the Shillelagh, Pankration to Hoplomachia, and any bare-knuckled dust, even the Malla-yudda, within whose blows you learn the intimacies of your opponant - lift you beyond the need of words. Music, like war, transcends language."

She casts a sly look to Keane and Dukes. "Are you two about to get steamy near some waterfall with a good book?"

Valentina smiles at Keane . "Alas Elder Keane, my love of music far out paces my technical understanding of it. I thought the singing beautiful and the acoustics of the Abbey well suited to the pieces we heard. Beyond that, my heart was taken on a journey of sound that I lack the words to properly express."

She pauses for a moment, reliving the music briefly.

"My Lady is very fond of music, and rightly so given how beautifully she plays the harp. I wish she had heard tonight's performance, she would have been far more able to talk knowledgeably on it."

Keane listens to Valentina as the walk;
"Those are my thoughts exactly. Thankyou. Perhaps I will meet your lady sometime, I haven't heard the harp in many years."
Then to Aurelia
"That was not my understanding but I wouldn't turn down the offer. Unless you wished to join us of course?"
He asks politely, his face a picture of innocent misunderstanding.

"I'm not sure I'd make a good third wheel, and I am too possessive for threesomes. I am spoken for, alas. You boys enjoy yourselves." Aurelia chuckles idly: a low, rich sound.

"And why haven't you spell-proofed your book, mage?" She offers Dukes a surprised look, which softens slightly. "I doubt you'd have problems whispering to the waters."

But to the comment on waterfall activities her eyebrows climb, right up into her hairline. "Oh. Oh my. Sheriff. You can't get away with a slip like that. What do you really do in waterfalls, neh, pray tell? And none of this talking to it nonsense, unless you're just a very vocal lover. Is that it?"

Aldrich sighs "ah Valentina you speak of Miss Daye? If so then Elder Keane you are in for a treat when you do. A truly beguiling sound if ever I heard one."

He smiles as Aurelia teases dukes. He seems to be enjoying himself.

"I can't help but agree with our lady here, sheriff. Pray tell."

The first near-miss of a jab she ignores. For the second time, however, on the rise of his offending finger: her glove is quick - rattlesnake fast - out and on; she's grasped his hand, just as it breaches her aura, the colours within flaring reflexively with... what should be surprise. Instead: satisfaction, even, amusement. Aurelia lets it go a moment later, the elder's dark eyes following up to Dukes' face.

"I tend to lead in any dance, although I make exceptions - but only for exceptional people," she states. "And you sound like a Malkavian."

Oddly, that last is spoken fondly. Aurelia's aura is calm; it even becomes warm. "And no, you don't need to expand on that," she adds softly.

"I think I've teased the poor fellow enough, what say you Beaufort, dear cousin?"
