An Evening In

"Wonderful! Jacob has been working on painting a branch for it these past few nights, so it's good to know I'm not wasting his time." She giggles lightly.

"And of course, we'll have the Valentine's King and Queen again. I wonder who will win this year and if it will be as odd a pairing as Elders Jackdow and Leverson?"

[Lady Grace]

Grace looks surprised
"How is the selection done to produce such a combination?"

[Manacledairman]

[Valentina Audley]

Valentina stops sewing for a moment as she's shaking too hard from laughing.

"It's a private ballot and anyone can vote. I rather think certain people gamed the system somewhat."

She dissolves into helpless laughter for a moment.

"Oh but it was funny! Not perhaps the result I would have wanted, but so funny." She admits frankly.

Aware that time is not on her side, she picks up her sewing and, taking a calming breath resumes her stitching.

"Now, that sounds like a fun evening activity,"

"Elder Beaufort, care for a wager?"

[Manacledairman]

[Lady Grace]

"I think its unfair for either of us to pick but let Miss Audley select her most unlikely couple for this year. I will wager I may garner them enough votes to win,"

[Manacledairman]

[Valentina Audley]

"I admit when we came up with the game, we were rather hoping for an actual couple, a pairing who really represented Valentines, but I think this way is possibly funnier." She smiles at Aldrich demurely.

At Grace's suggestion Valentina inelegantly tries to laugh and gasp at the same time and ends up making a weird yelping noise, before subsiding into giggles.

"Oh my goodness!"

It takes her a moment to gather herself and then a moment longer to come up with a suitably hilarious couple. She debates Aurelia and discards as too potentially dangerous should she find out how she got voted in.

"I should think the most unlikely couple would surely be Elder Zaragoza and Neonate Durham."

She grins at the others and giggles again.
