"...not all of us can trace our mortal lineage back through the centuries... and, in truth, there is a lot about this that I do not understand... yet..."
She returns Helen's gaze calmly, almost eerily, but there is a softness there. Recognising the Ventrue's concern.
Her gaze goes distant as she looks around, stretching her senses to their limits. Searching for the out-of-tune notes, the absence, or the presence, where there should not be.
Still, she drops her voice low, letting it get taken by the river sounds after it reaches Helen's ears.
"...you know ghouls, of course... two ghouls can marry... have a child... and that child grows... becomes a ghoul to the same domitor... marries and has children in turn... who carry the line... such families are called Revenants... less than Kindred... but more than mortal... drowned in vitae... bred through the centuries... like Mr Campion and his white rabbits... and... just as ghouls gain... abilities... so do those families... along with flaws... ghouls are jealous creatures..."
She frowns, humming quietly again, then sighs.
"...so much at Christmas that is not mine to tell..."
She gives Helen's hand a gentle, reassuring squeeze.
"...I have a theory... my harps... the strings will hum without any touch at all, if I sing to them. The resonance of my voice causes them to sound, and the note I sing will make the corresponding note on the harp sound. So I think it is with the Seers... their souls sound through time until they find a person... who resonates with the fundamental note of the Seer... and with time... and tuning... the resonance gets stronger... the note clearer..."
She smiles wryly.
"...but this is just my theory... and I think that I have told you this already? ...but in answer to your question... yes... I am a Trinity... one in three and three in one... Christine, Fionnuisce, Bleithneyria... though I am sure that I have other names that I have forgotten... or am starting to remember... but here and now... I am Christine... and I am your friend."
