[Viktor]

His steps were unhurried, un-rushed. Each was taken with care so as to disturb as little as possible since he had entered through the window of the classroom. Viktor found a suitable shadow to stand within and silently waited, thoughts steadily trickled through his mind. The recent nights had given a lot to consider, contemplate and plan for.

[Master Vex]

Iron-shod hooves clattered to a halt upon the stone outside.

Not minutes later and the punctual figure of Master Vex appeared in the foyer. Well-dressed but practical in riding breaches and a military greatcoat, the Ventrue neonate appeared every bit the proverbial Chief of Police. That he no longer was did not seem to have altered much for Vex.

He frowned lightly, peering into the gloom. "Viktor?" was asked, curtly. The Ventrue took several measuring steps inside, glancing through the first open door. "Elder Viktor?"

[Viktor]

The sound of the hooves dragged his mind and attention back to the present, dismissing the myriad of thoughts back to the bottomless well they all seemed to reside in.

When the new arrival spoke,it wasn't for the first time that the Elder wondered what it was that the Ventrue were teaching their Childer these nights.

"It is Elder Viktor or Master Harpy Mister Vex." he replied once he was certain the Neonate was alone in a cold tone, even a dullard would not have missed the displeasure in it. "I find the familiarity you seen to have showed to be both unwelcome and unwanted."

The shroud around him dropped as he spoke, making his presence visible but he did not move from the shadow he stood within.

[Master Vex]

"I apologise Elder Viktor," said Master Vex, with genuine sincerity. "I did not know that you wished your Kindred tithes used immediately in this institute - abandoned though it is. I felt it crucial to pay caution in these nights, to respect your privacy. Elders I have dealt with in my Clan preferred pseudonyms or no name at all. It is an error that shall not be repeated. Of course you would have scouted the building yourself."

"If I might, Elder Viktor - I did not come here, and clear my schedule, to be reminded beyond this. Should we have business to discus, please, let us discuss it."

[Viktor]

The Elder's tone doesn't change at all.

"Like many others of late it would seem your reasoning is sound yet your execution flawed and found to cause offence.

The business I did wish to discuss with you was upon the matter of your mortal kin, of Robert and of Evelyn yet I now find such to be perhaps unnecessary."

[Master Vex]

"Is there no way I can seek forgiveness for the insult?"

At the next, Vex frowned, but nodded once, twice. "My grandson? What matters concern him?"

[Viktor]

"There is always a way to find forgiveness Mister Vex. It would be a Minor matter to forgive your indiscretion."

[Master Vex]

"Ah!" Master Vex bows his head. "I offer Minor Prestation, Elder Viktor. I apologise for the insult given this night."

He seems pleased, and clearly relieved that despite his absence from the kindred world, there are ways of avoiding such slights.

[Viktor]

"Such is accepted.

I am led to understand that your mortal grand-son is your ghoul. Is this correct?"

[Master Vex]

"This is correct," Vex intoned, hastily. "Is there a problem, Elder Viktor? I was given to understand that the courtesies of the domain permit such?" He is frowning heavily, concerned.
