Tea for two

For those Northern Haunts that either remain unspecified or too specific to fit into any other category. For example, if you wish to post a one-shot on your character's activities in their Haven but don't wish to advertise the fact of it's existence in a specific district.

That question provokes a hearty laugh from Erika.

"Now that depends entirely on the company one keeps! And can feel quite crowded depending on the circumstances. But if I am to be honest, there's also tranquility to such form of travel. Being rocked to sleep as the sun rises is an unusual - but pleasant - experience and makes any unpleasantries worthwhile. I think you will enjoy the experience. Oh, perfume. Occasionally kine will become seasick, and in close quarters that...well, I need say no more. Pack well, if light. Quality matters over quantity of luggage. And a pair or two of solid boots are an investment.

Should a storm hit while at sea, do not be afraid. Enjoy the exhileration - it is at times like these that we are closer to life than Kine, who can feel the potential of death. Take note of the sky, the stars. Embrace each moment, a new experience. For with age comes ennui, when fewer moments are so marked. You might like to journal your travels, allowing you to remember them so.

"You will undoubtedly see sights to which you are unaccustomed while you travel. Let Campion take the lead in such circumstances. In situations where you are uncertain, let him speak. Observation is the greater part of understanding."

"It sounds truly amazing, I'm even more excited now. And what about yourself, what do you have planned in the coming weeks?"

"Oh, undoubtedly, I will end up with a dozen new political issues with which I'll have to appease all and sundry. For a start, there is still a level of distrust between Toreador and Gangrel. Then there's the issue of the rumours being spread about me..." She pauses and delicately blushes, before pulling herself together. It's a moment, a single moment, and she covers it up, consumate performer that she is. "And then looking after dear Christine."

"Yes I had heard about the rumours between yourself and the Prince of London, I have also heard that Christine was quite devastated when she heard them, lest d not fear, I shall not dignify them by enquiring after their accuracy, however if I may be so bold..."

She pauses for a moment wondering if she is wise to speak out but Epi has always had a quiet fondness for Lady La Roux and supports her whole heartedly in her position as Prince.

"My dear La Roux, you must be careful, I know you are all too aware that your position lands you much respect and responsibilities but be warned, not everyone who serves you is loyal or trust worthy, your position also attracts foe, scandalous lies and betrayal. Choose your company carefully, there are many who will wish to take your place and mar your name, I think you will achieve many a great thing as prince and form new alliances with surrounding territories but before you choose your allies ensure their motives are for the benefit of you and what you wish to achieve and not serving goals of their own."

Erika nods at these words.

"Oh, believe me, I know this all too well. One puts a great target on one's self, when one assumes such a role of authority. Which is why I am careful to guage alliances with care."

A look of frustration crosses her face.

"At the party, I received a disturbing message - a veiled threat from an old acquaintance. For the moment, I wear such a rumour as protection, alongside my greatly valued friends. I am hopeful that such rumours will cause the acquaintance to think twice about any foolish move upon me. But this is between you and me, a little secret if you will."

"No a word will pass my lips, you have my word."

She pauses lost in thought, mulling over the reaction from her beloved La Roux

"Would you like me to investigate anything for you? if a delicate hand were required I could make it look part of my duties as Deputy Sheriff, or part of my work for my Clan."

"It's a difficult situation. I'm uncertain as to where they are at present. I know only that they are likely to come for me. However, if you hear of any stranger enquiring of me, or acting suspiciously, then..."

She pauses.

"I would be grateful should you let me know."

"Of course I will, and should you require any further assistance with this or in fact anything pray let me know."

She lifts her chin very slightly and changes the subject to one more light.

"How is Christine? I have not had a chance to see her since the Christmas Elysium."

"She has been rather shaken following both rumours and the violent misunderstanding in which she was caught up. For she was in the traveling party which inadvertently stumble across the Gangrel gathering. She is still wary around the clan but by all accounts, she defended herself magnificently. She's also pouring herself into her music, which is no bad thing. And there's been limited interaction with whatever it was we stumbled across in Egypt. I'm hoping it's found its way home at last."

"Upon our return we shall all meet again to see if any progress has been made, I know that while I was researching a ritual for Dorian, Albert, forgive me Elder Campion has been looking into it."

She looks at her Prince and her head tilts to the right slightly as she does when she is contemplating.

"Lady La Roux, may I ask you a personal question?"
