An Open Invite

[Lady Grace]

Grace looks up from being extremely distracted by her thoughts.
She realised something social was probably required of her.
"Yes, Ancillia Audley. Please do go ahead and suggest away.
I don't seem to be thinking particularly clearly this evening.
So many things are happening,"
She makes a weak apologetical smile.

[Valentina Audley]

Valentina smiles at the room in general and leans back in her seat thoughtfully.

"Very well then. If you could choose any one thing about yourself to change, what would it be? For myself I should make myself shorter. I should suit many more fashions with three less inches to my stature!" And she laughs lightly.

[Lucius Servius]

“Oh yes, you are… Miss Fontaine.”

Lucius returns to the gathering deftly making his way to Angelina. He pauses only to pick up the carafe of wine he disregarded earlier before sitting just behind the neonate to absentmindedly play with her hair.

With a wry smile, Lucius turns towards Caru. “I don’t think we have been introduced Ancilla? Angelena my pet, would you do me the courtesy of giving me a proper introduction?”

“Miss Audley, what a delightful game. I hope you would not consider it crass if I were to say I would require far more of Elder Aurelia’s tea to gift you with a truthful answer. So suffice to say for now I would like to be taller, better to see over the heads of those less important" Lucius smiles.

Aldrich returns just after Aurelia, again holding the door for her, he just catches the question and chuckles to himself with Lucius' answer.

"Same answer, different reason." he smiles to the group, his eyes coming to rest on Caru and his face changes to a picture of confusion.

[Lady Grace]

Grace's eyes narrow with Lucius use of the word pet again in reference to Angelina. Vile.

"Just one thing? Challenging,"

"I would think before I spoke.
Act faster rather than being undecided once my mind us made up.
Be more charitable of thought.
Find some way to not charge in once I am convinced of a truth.
Be content when a moment of peace is found before my mind drifts to regrets of the past.
To have studied better my lessons of strength and speed.
Be able to let my stubbornness go of petty rivalries and things that just.....well just, don't matter really."

Grace looks around the faces in the room.
"I might be a bit less honest in public as well."

"To choose just one thing though,"
Grace gently squeezes the hand she holds behind the very poor cover of the table.
"To recognise good advice when it is given."

"Anyone else?"
She says throwing it open to those who haven't answered.

[Jean-Jacques]

Jean-Jacques smiles at Valentina, concealing the aura of revulsion that precedes the recent arrivals back into the room.



“I should perhaps wish to be less of a burden upon my sire”

[Laurence]

Laurence glances at Grace when she squeezes his hand under the table, a slight twitch up at the corners of his mouth when she speaks her last sentence.

"I should like to sleep peacefully."

It's there to those who know Laurence, the fractional tensing of muscles and the glint of emotion both in his eyes and his aura when he hears Lucius calling Angelina his pet coupled with the discomfort she displayed earlier.

Going to have to keep an eye on that one.

[Caru]

"I missed the physical games? Awr," Caru laments - not looking sorry at all. "Oh well."

"Please Miss Audley - go ahead. And: oooh."

Caru's gaze followed Angelina as she sat, as if little stars lit up in her eyes. "Hello you..." she grinned, half-closing her newly narrowed and heavily lidded eyes, the neon green irses shining with alien light. "Aren't you just lovely. What did you say your name was? Miss Fontaine?"

Soon as Lucius returns, Caru takes this as immediate invite to come sit right by Angelina and Lucius, leaning forward a little invasively - a whole lot suggestively - and tucks a lock of platinum blond behind an ear, winking at Angelina.

She turns briefly to Lucius. "No we have not, esteemed Elder!" And then expectently back to Angelina, placing her slim hand over the armrest of the Toreador's chair.

Kira slips through the door with a sigh, “Ah, that’s better,” her eyes brighten as they pour over around the room, “much more lively,” she proclaims with a smile, and breezes through the usual pleasantries, greetings and thanks the host as due before leaning into the scene.

Angelina’s smile froze as she saw Lucius entering the room, but intently kept her focus everyone else, directly avoiding looking at the Elder. It didn’t help any as she felt the seat dip beside her and flinched at the feeling of the hand on her hair, jaw tightening as she swallowed away the immediate response.

The Ancilla took her attention as she looked at the blonde who approached, and she shifted slightly in her seat at the both of them either side of her. She glanced between the two of them, hesitating for a moment.

“Uhm, may I introduce Elder Lucius Servius of Ventrue clan.” She said quietly, clearly a little uncomfortable in her current situation.
