An Open Invite

[Caru]

"You mean a Pegasus?" Caru says, nodding as if that was a completely logical thing to bring into conversation. "Right. That's exactly right. Except the horn's on the head."

She chortled slightly at the description of this fantastical house, but didn't press for further information, not wanting to talk any longer about decorations or house builds.

"A pleasure to meet you. And - yes - I talked to Vex. Since this salon was about briefing one another and catching up, and the poor man's been so busy with the police, and well, helping us all by helping the humans not break out into riots, I owed him that catchup more than most. The world's crazy right now!"

"Oh?" She looks up at Jean Jaques. "We did? Golly, I am so sorry. Please forgive me, this whole year has been very difficult. I moved home twice, and now am effectively homeless and out of a job."

As Keane reappears she nods back at him, her aura colouring with relief to see him and Anton, who she gives a gentle smile to.

In response to his comments on all the elders leaving she nods "yes that rather does seem to be the case, doesn't it? Perhaps they will return in time. Until then I should very much enjoy a game of questions!" And she gives him a grateful smile, pleased that someone has suggested a game she can join in with.

Then, Caru arrives.

"Caru darling! How lovely to see you!" And she smiles to the other woman, genuinely pleased. She listens as the others introduce themselves, a smile playing about her lips at the mention of houses with wings, which changes into a small frown as Caru says she's homeless and out of a job.

"Dear me darling, how dreadful!" She clucks sympathetically, wondering why Mithras had sacked her and more to the point why he'd sacked her and let her go, apparently unharmed.

"Do you have somewhere safe to Haven for the immediate future?" She asks, concerned.

Keane takes in the new arrival fairly blithely, giving a short cursory glance to Anton at his stunted reply. He shrugs and replies to Caru;
"We did meet I believe recently on the road between here and Reading. Due to a storm. I am Elder Keane Airellson, Primogen if clan Malkavian in this domain."
It's informal enough a setting he doesn't seem to mind introducing himself.
"I should speak to Vex myself at some point maybe thank him for this occasion." He muses.
"Why are jobless?" He asks a bit bluntly then considers, "What was your job? Something to do with languages if I remember correctly." He gives an open expression, one of genuine interest.
His aura is quite contained, or manipulated it isn't clear but it is one of general convivial amusement. He likes caru though, from her straight forward attitude to he general scent she has been most pleasant company. He begins down a side track of what life might had been like had he been a Gangrel...

Aurelia strides purposefully back into the room and scans it briefly. Her gaze quickly locates the Malkavians and a small frown knits her brows.

"Might we speak with you, Primogen? You may bring your ward if you wish." She offers Anton a neutral if even blank, look, clamping down on all visible emotion.

Keane is about to respond to Caru regarding games and entertainment when Aurelia strides back to party.
His expression clouds to match hers and his Aura turns deliberately blank. He gives her a single nod.
"Very well." without turning he carries on. "Anton, I think you had better join us."
He stands and waits for Anton to join him before moving away.
Before leaving he seems to regain control of manners and says in general.
"I am sure we won't be too long. I hope there are some wonderful games and conversations to return to."
Its jarring at best but he's trying.
With that he leaves with the others.

Anton looks like he'd rather do anything but.

He casts around, wishing perhaps for the first time that there were other Malkavians present.

His gaze eventually lands, with a white noise in his head, on Jean Jaques; and Anton stares at him a long time, conflicted, unsure of this new urge to request he join them.

But, "All right," he swallows, his gaze flicking down to his clenched fingers, and then up to Keane. It darts once to Aurelia, and then Aldrich - back to Keane. Anton stands.

And after a mistep, follows his Primogen out the room, keeping very close to his side, and as far from the Ventrue as possible.

Jean-Jacques for his part meets Anton’s look, impassively

Why am I now in a room, surrounded by doors, right let’s start opening them, there has to be a way through here somewhere, Anton, can you hear me, take this with you, it’s a lovely book, I’ve owned it all my life, it’s beautiful, leather bound and gives me great comfort when I’m alone....shit there’s a brick wall behind that door...and that one...fuck it how is this supposed to work

As Anton breaks his focus and leaves , Jean-Jacques turns to Caru

“You’ve missed a few games, some physical..“

He gestures to the rudimentary grid and pointer

“Others more by way of questions which Ancilla Audley here graced us with by way of inspiration”

“Perhaps Ancillae Audley, a continuation of that theme to introduce a wider audience?”

[Valentina Audley]

Valentina's eyes sparkle with amusement. "You might find them tame to answer, when compared to the game of...." She pauses, eyeing the spinner and planks doubtfully. "Twisting? Entwining? Does it have a name?"

She raises an eyebrow in comic amusement.

"Anyway yes, we were having a very tame round of questions and I shall cheerfully pose one for the room should you all wish it?"

Angelina returned to her seat, picking up her diary and folding it into her hands and sitting to look at the new comer with a smile, nodding her head at the introduction, waiting her turn to speak before introducing herself in turn. "Pleasure to meet you Ancilla, I am Angelina Fontaine, Neonate of clan Toreador." She introduced, and then settled back quietly.

She turned her attention to Valentina, smiling at the thought of a more tame round of questions, since the last few games of questions she had participated in had taken routes she didn't intend.
