An Open Invite

A Gentlemen's Club in Lockscombe initially funded by a Ventrue who died in The Night of Fire. His Childe, one Master Vex, can still be occasionally seen relaxing in the study - the rare time that he is not up to his eyeballs jousting the judicial affairs of the kine. It is a private manor designed for the wealthy among Kindred, a place to relax and create alliances. Providing everything the typical Gentlemen's Club would have to satisfy a man's domestic needs, there is a library, a (often unused) dining hall, entertainment and games rooms, rooms for sleep, two washrooms and a large study. In many ways it resembles the typical Upper Class home. There is a separate entrance for staff to sleep, located on the side of the house.

Keane looks at Valentina in confusion. He clearly doesn't know what this "conkers" is. But shrugs and accepts that it is some form of children's game and takes no further interest.
At Anton's comments;
"The knowing of how to not die for a very long time is something I know about." He looks a little blank and reflective for a moment.
"If I could have learned anything I think I should have liked to be a healer of some kind. Though the skill has changed through the centuries by my eyes. To releave suffering and aid those in need, that is what I would choose." He says this with the serious gravitas of a drunk but there is a shade of sorrow in his voice.

Aldrich claps his hands together loudly.

"So new game. What shall we play? And seeing as practically everyone has removed some clothing we should probably make clear on the rules of the game before play." He turns to Aurelia "what games do you know cousin? Considering you appear to be in the most jeopardy clothing wise." He smiles widely.

"Presuming of course you have chosen not to wear 7 layers of skin tight..." he pauses as his brain can't find the next word. "...something or others. Underneath your dress, but if that is the case, then very well played, considering you suggested the strip game I think you'd have us all bang to rights"

He smiles amazed at himself for finishing his thought process out loud, taking a large gulp of his drink in celebration.

Valentina smiles gently at Anton's sudden unsurety, her aura radiating comfort, though outwardly she makes no move toward him.

"An excellent skill choice Neonate and I look look forward to my new titles immensely!" And she giggles, her eyes sparkling with mirth, inviting him to join the joke.

"Elder Keane, how can it be that you do not know of conkers?! It is an excellent game and come the autumn, we must teach you!" She smiles angelically, "Though it's only fair to warn you, that when last I played, I was considered exceptionally good." And she winks then laughs.

"As for a new skill set entirely? Now that is a challenging question..." She sews for a moment, thinking as she does. "I should chose something more physical I think. Perhaps carpentry? The skill of carving things from wood seems to me a most magical ability!"

Keane frowns in curiosity at Valentina, no longer sure its a children's game and wondering exactly what she is propositioning.
"Well, I suppose so. If you are exceptionally good then." He had no idea what that implied.
"But I do like this game of questions. I want to ask one now."
He thinks for a moment.
"Our mortal lives make up so much of what we are and so do the times we live them in. So, if you could have have been a mortal in any age, when would it have been? I think I wouod like to have been many years before my own so I might have known more of the world that was. Seen all the tales before they were written." He looks a little glassy eyed and absent for a moment.

Jean-Jacques who had been relaxed on the fringes of the gathering, opens his eyes and looks at a pocket watch, seems to decide on some matter, rises from his seat and bows to the assembled kindred,

he then glances at Grace,

“By your leave Primogen”

He turns and walks quietly from the room

Valentina, who had been mulling over Keane's question relaxes a little as Jean-Jacques leaves the room and glances to Anton, to check his reaction.

Then she turns her attention back to Keane. "I think, I should have liked to have lived in Brythonic times." She says contemplatively. "The dresses were delightful and the stories you tell are full of wonder..."

As they are talking in public she carefully does not mention any of her own memories of that time.

"What about you Neonate Kilner?" And she smiles charmingly at him.

As chatter continues in the main room, gentle conversation can be heard approaching.

Jean-Jacques re-enters the room, accompanied on his arm by Angelina.

Counter to the ‘Brujah’s’ simple attire, Angelina is a picture of style and beauty dressed as she is in a vivid red dress, her hair tied in a bun, allowing occasional strands of curls to escape the clasp,

He bows to those in the room before briefly speaking

“Architect, Elders, Ancilla, Neonate, might I beg leave to introduce to those unaware Neonate Angelina Fontaine of clan Toreador, Childe of Elder Verity, Primogen of clan Toreador in Aquae Sulis”

Jean-Jacques steps to one side as he makes the introduction and bows to Angelina

He then steps to near his previous seat, but remains standing.

Angelina had a friendly smile on her lips as she chatted softly, simple small talk with Jean-Jacques, walking at his side into the room and glancing around at the gathering there. She recognised many of the faces in the room, though Jean-Jacques’ introduction certainly helped her feel more at ease in the company.

She dipped a low curtsey with a quiet “Good evening.” leaving her as she did so, and followed her companion over as to not be left in the middle of the room alone.

Aldrich looks around as Jean-Jacques returns, he smiles as Angelina comes into view.

He takes a quick sip of his drink

"Ahh Miss Fontaine, a name for a face" he smiles widely to her "a pleasure."

He nods his head and raises his glass.

"I might have," Aurelia skims a finger over the lip of her teacup, her eyes narrow. "You don't know me."

She looks up at the greeting, sitting through the new introductions with a peaceful (read: drugged) sort of air. The first wave of her own tea was beginning to hit her. Thus, she felt is best not to open her mouth and break the illusion of elderly calm.

A few minutes to right herself and let the world stop spinning, Aurelia felt markedly better. High. But better.

"Neh? Games?" She glanced at Aldrich. "Hrm. We had a lot of pin the tail on the donkey. And games of acrobatics while drunk - to prove who was the most drunk. Spanish people are very fond of incriminating another."

"I like the one Anatole made up, which was a twist on an acrobatic game. But we would need a flat board or something upon which we could draw. Perhaps eight feet by eight feet. And it involves bodily contact." She shrugged, as if this didn't matter to her, but could well to others. Aurelia was a very physical person.
