Evening Stroll (open)

The heart of the city, where humans and Kindred parade together through the night. Lit by new style gas lights and humming with the sound of people eating, drinking, laughing, crying, living and dying, the centre of Bath is the jewel in the crown of the ancient city.

Meredith's face drops when she listens to Jean Jacque, "Oh come now, that cannot possibly be true. For the first instance you were chosen to become Kindred and that means you are special. Furthermore, I truly believe every person has a talent and has a reason to shine. It doesn't have to be a great warrior or lover. It can merely be finding the perfect outfit, being kind, not being a push-over. You must look deeper inside yourself and give yourself the recognition you deserve."

Smiling once again Meredith continues, "You say you blend into the crowd. Well now, that's got to be a talent. Some people shine so brightly they can never be one with themselves but you have the opposite and that creates an opportunity. To go unnoticed by the eye could lead to a lot of opportunities especially in subterfuge. And you will be all the more noticed when you finally show off the inner star for it!"

Turning to Lady Grace sharply, "Primogen Granville, of course Elders shine the brightest. They have been on this Earth longer, are wise and the gems in our crown. But imagine the pressure they must bare, for they have to lead an example for all of us to follow. And you are Ancilla my dear, that means you at least are the velvet trim to the Crown. And standing up when others do not have the voice to do so, is very worthy indeed. You can call it conflict but I would call it an advocate of justice."

Meredith winks at Lady Grace.

Jean-Jacques look at Grace, with an element t of admiration, as she speaks of her virtues and he nods agreement at the appropriate moments.

As Meredith reacts, his face is a gentle smile

“Meredith, I do so love your insights, and indeed passion for your cause, could it be perhaps that my talents are indeed humility and as such I could never admit to them”

He smiles and then winks at Grace

“However we are all friends here I am sure so I will provide more insight to my nature”

“My true passion is philosophical debate, this in and of itself largely lead to my first embrace”

“In this fair city I have forged relationships with like minded kine, and indeed the mystery of the lime green ribbon is attached to that aspect, there is one a lady whom I regard as as equal in these nights with the gentlefolk who attend, nee she is actually more given the comments received by those less enlightened amongst the group “

“She reminds me of a memory, but vividly so, a time when people were equal, the class was expunged, a brief period of utopia and the dialogue was liberty, brotherhood and equality....”

He tails off, his eyes are almost moistened...

“Thus Meredith, I shall confess my kingdom shall be..egalitee, fraternitee, libertee!

He smiles broadly, his eyes slightly reddened.

There's a moment of silence before Meredith reacts. What, she wonders happened in his past for him to be so teary eyed and talk of "brotherhood." She takes out a small handkerchief and passes it to him.

"What a beautiful sentiment, I hope to learn more about this lost kingdom you speak of. I think I would get along there just fine."

Laurence approaches the small group of Kindred through the crowd, his approach is made obvious so as not to startle anyone in the small shopping trip. As he reaches them, the Brujah Ancilla gives a bow to Grace then a nod to each of the Neonates.

"Having a pleasant shopping trip I hope, one and all?"

He grins, the easy air of confidence surrounding Laurence as his eyes take in the scene.

Grace turns in greeting and smiles in acknowledgment of his bow,
"It was too lovely a night not to be out walking."

Grace looks down to the ribbon she had been looking at.
A reel of a solid blue velvet lengths, tightly wound.
"What do you think of this Ancillia Stoker?
I never know if blue tones suit me?"

Jean-Jacques bows politely to his clan mate as he joins the group.

“Ancilla Stoker, yes indeed we are managing to acquire some lovely items, despite the quandary of choice “

“We are also pondering subjects as we peruse the merchandise”

“Meredith here, had enquired of us whether there was something we might consider ourselves worthy of being a king or queen of, whether as grand as being a warrior befitting of the title, or an expert in the choosing of footwear, it is up to the respondent to decide”

He smiles at Meredith

“Quite a fine question to while away the time I do believe “

He turns to Laurence and smiles

Laurence returns the smile but it never quite seems to reach his amethyst eyes as he observes how Grace and Jean Jacques were walking together.

“Indeed, what has already been chosen so I do not just pick something that has already been picked?”

At Grace’s question, Laurence moves over and looks down at the ribbon. Gently taking it from Grace’s hand he holds it up against Grace’s arm.

“On consideration, I don’t know why I am seeing if the colour would suit you Lady Granville, you look truly beautiful in any and all colours you may choose to dress in.”

He grins easily at Grace, Laurence’s aura sparking with a feeling of love.

Grace beams at Laurence's words, holding his look until she laughs warmly, "You say the most wonderful things, I also think you may be a little biased on my favour." Grace smiles fondly to Laurence.

"I haven't yet selected anything to purchase. Walking her tonight I was thinking of the novels sold a little further on."
Grace slowly takes the ribbon from Laurence and returns it to the stall.
"Most of my enjoyment has been watching the selection process of these ladies," Grace indicates Meredith and Angelina as a gentle nudge to Laurence to remember to smile at others not just her.

Grace takes Laurence's arm.
"We were discussing the votes for King and Queen at the Valentine's Salon but you should answer the question posed though. What you you name yourself King of ?"

While wandering through the streets Andross notices a sizeable gathering of familiar kindred faces, one face among those belonged to Jean-Jacques. Andross supposed he had best go and check Jean-Jacques hadnt been causing more trouble for anyone.
As he neared he noticed that Grace was there, Jean-Jacques should be under control then he hoped, but continued over there was no other issues that had come up.

"Ladies, Ancillae Stoker, Jean-Jacques, I'm hoping it is a pleasant stroll about here for you all. I saw you all gathered and thought it best to check there had been no troubles?"

He looks over them for any signs of distress or annoyance.

"Ancillia Blint"
Grace grins at his concerned approach.

"How very welcome you are.
Excellent timing as always."

"And you are also quite correct we have probably lingered here so long as to look suspicious.
Would anyone mind if we moved along a few stalls? Only if your purchases are complete if course. I remember there being some excellent jewellery and some hats next to a second hand book seller,"
