Evening Stroll (open)

The heart of the city, where humans and Kindred parade together through the night. Lit by new style gas lights and humming with the sound of people eating, drinking, laughing, crying, living and dying, the centre of Bath is the jewel in the crown of the ancient city.

Angelina looked over with mild surprise and smile at Jean-Jacques and Lady Granvile. She dipped a small curtsey as they approached.
"Jean-Jacques, Elder Granvile, It certainly is a pleasure to see you both, it seems such a beautiful night has led to many taking a pleasant turn around the city. " She smiled, and glanced back at the stall she had left.
"I was looking at a simple hair pin, but other than that nothing particular has taken my eye tonight, though I cannot answer for my companion." She said politely.

“How splendid the simple delights of acquiring adornments. i myself profess to an absolute beginner , probably beyond all hope in such matters of fashionable accessories ”

He smiles at each of the ladies in turn

“I do so adore to see such things displayed where they are destined however, upon such as stand before me, I should be happy to hear of your favourite colours and adornments such that I might be better informed should I need to impress a lady”

He smiles and winks at the two neonates, attempting to mask his playful glance from Grace, and deliberately failing

Meredith squirms at the complement, "Jean-Jacques I fear you don't need any adornments, that charm by itself will surely have any lady following you around."

Meredith nods to Lady Granville, "But I am sure Elder Granville will be able to give you plenty of advice. Though I personally find the more delicate the item the more I fall for it. I'm yet to find such a thing here though."

Grace has her own moment of squirming inside.
She should correct them.sooner rather than later.

"Please, please. It's very sweet of you both but I am not an Elder, just Ancilla."
Deliberately ignoring Jacques words with a smile.
He could be charming when he wanted to.

"Yes, it's a pleasure that these stalls trade so late that we may involve ourselves in a activity that feels so, 'normal' if that's the right word. I do love to spend time on jewellery,"

"I am not so good with hair and I should be lost without Ancillia Audley's help on the new fashion."

"Miss Fountaine it's excellent to see you out alone," Grace's gaze considers her. Thinking over how awful the recent weeks must have been.

"And Miss Llewlyn. It was good to have some time to talk with you and your, um, 'friend at the Salon. I think we achieved philosphical debate amidst...," Grace pauses trying not to say carnage," amidst so much celebration of the occasion." This one was so pretty, in a Toreador that meant she was also probably one to watch.

Her gloved hand brushes some blood red and black beads. They looked to be a bracelet. Very nice.

Angelina looked surprised and a little flustered at realising her mistake.

"My apologies, please excuse my mistake." She said quickly and dipped a curtsey.

She chuckled softly at Jean-Jacques' complements. "I wouldn't really feel like I were in a position to give advice on this. I do keep to very simple items, and rarely buy new trinkets. However I felt like treating myself this evening to something pretty." She smiled.

That smile hesitated and twitched at the implied statement from the Ancilla and she shifted slightly, swallowing before replying, having found her mouth a little dry. "It is pleasant to be out under my own volition." She agreed, fingers absently touching her cheek at the twinge of memory.

Jean-Jacques was enjoying the small talk and the company, quite the change of scene from recent times, and not an elder in sight.

Don’t tempt the fates you fool

He smiles in turn as the discussion moves between the group

As Grace mentions the salon, he smiles conspiratorially

“Now then ladies, what memories do you take away from the Lupercalia then, those that would bear witness in such august company, eh?”

"Oh you are not? I do apologise for making such an assumption Ancilla Granville. You just hold yourself so well and aren't you the Primogen of Clan Brujah? You know I do think it is marvellous for you to be a Primogen, it gives me a small bit of joy to see a Lady at the head." I smile shyly at her. Meredith thinks back to the days where she had to fight to go to school and so shortly she was taken away from the school house. Truly this Lady is one to know.

"You were very kind to Phineas and I in your debate, it was a welcomed break to the night which was... interesting indeed." At the mention of being alone Meredith looks to Angelina with deep concern. "Angelina is just too delightful that she often gets cornered but we Roses look after each other. Don't we my dear?" Meredith brushes her hand against Angelina's in a small sign of comfort, although she doesn't know everything she saw enough on that dreadful night and feels a great distaste for a certain Elder.

Clasping her hands together in joy at Jean-Jacques question, Meredith thinks deeply. "Well what a night it was. Do you know I've never been quite so shocked in my time. I've just never seen...so many people...doing so many...things. It was certainly an education for me but I must admit, I did enjoy seeing the more esteemed of our Court letting their hair down. I'm not so sure if I will be doing that any time soon though."

Grace takes a moment of silence in thought of what should be said about such a night in this company of neonate,
"Well, what doesn't kill us makes us stronger,"
Grace smiles to Angelina.

"The more you experience of kindred society the better you shall keep yourself afloat in it, instead of drowning.
It's nights like the Salon that teach the important lesson to watch and listen to everything you can.

The slightest thing may become useful at a later date, but then you know that." Grace smiles.

I must admit to feeling that I missed out on the fun. The first half of the night was dealing with politics and upset and then, well then I was somewhat emotional."

"I had hoped to spent the evening observing exactly who was disappearing off with whom," Grace sighs. "In the end there really wasn't time."
"It was certainly dramatic though." Grace carefully doesn't mention the things she remembers of when the Pan spirit came near. A change of topic maybe.

Grace smiles to Meredith, "there are more ways of fighting than with your fists and never mistake our role in society as being anything other than a fight. Aim as high as possible for your allies and know when to advance and when to retreat."

"But that is far too serious for this evening. Jean Jacques I think these ladies can give you a eduction in items for the feminine if that is what you wish. There are some lovely things to purchase here,"

"You might even achieve a little matched details for next Court Jacques. The Salon had so many who dressed to impress I loved it. Poor Valentina forced to miss out. I heard that the cup went missing as well"

"I don't even know anyone participate in the things she so wonderfully organised. The King and Queen, the wishing tree."
"Did either of you two have flowers or suitors? Anyone unexpected reveal their hearts?"
Grace looks sideways at Jean-Jacques.
She had no proof of his proposition to Vykos.

Meredith takes in the night air as she listens to Eld-Ancilla Granville, she comes with some very good advice it seems. Perhaps a someone I should take seriously and listen too. After all we all dream of becoming that one day.

'You speak with such wise words Primogen Granville, I know I have much to learn about kindred society and the way things are run. I have not long been released and much of my years where spent in very close proximity to my Sire. But I am keen and more than willing to find my role in society and bring honour to our court." Meredith beams with pride, "I am positive we will all do that for our respective Clans. We just need to listen to our instincts and to those who know better than we do."

After a brief pause Meredith spots a particularly intricate brooch filled with small crystals and spun silver, "As for your fancy Jean-Jacques I suppose it depends on what you wish to buy and who this lady is. But the best way to go about it, is to think like her. Get something to match her eyes or that reminds you of her. If you truly want to show a lady you love her, then it is about the thought than the price."

After all, he had such gentle words to say to me that night and now, I cannot stop thinking about him and the happiness he has brought into my life.

"Well I am sure I can help you out with some of the gossip Primogen Granville, I saw a few people go off with a few others but I must admit I was a bit distracted by my own...' Meredith hides her face sheepishly, 'well...I suppose you would say potential suitor. But I don't know if I'm making it up or if it really happened. It's like a dream and I would be honoured if this person even glanced my way.. so instead I took my wish to the tree. So I suppose fate will guide me now, though I am sure Ancilla Audley is up to something." Meredith giggles in a girlish manner and tilts her head to Jean-Jacques, "Surely you can give us a glimpse into this lovely lady of yours. Then we can better help you?"

Jean-Jacques appears to be genuinely enjoying himself in the present company.

Such a pleasant evening, reminiscant of ages past, enjoying good company and idle gossip, not a care...

He smiles at Merediths attempts to wheedle a name.

“Now then Meredith, how would I remain a gentleman if I were to reveal the subject of my attentions so trivially”

At the mention of gossip in general of the evening, he smiles at the three ladies.

“Well to kick us off with something juicy, Vortigern was engaged in a prolonged sexual conjoinment with Christine, and was then joined by Prince Erik, as a rear guard, it was clear Christine was enjoying the experience without any conjecture required on my part”

He winks at Meredith.
