Angelina was taken aback, and glanced at the others, who luckily seemed to be dealing with their own little situation and weren't paying too much attention to what was being said. Her mouth opened to protest his insults of Verity, but she was caught off guard by his comments about the secret. She floundered, stunned.

"You agreed.... you agreed at Reading that if I answered honestly, it would not be discussed publicly...." She said quietly, trying to keep from drawing the attention of the the others. She knew she was naive. She was aware that she didn't know enough about this world, but she had thought that the quick agreement that night actually stood, foolish.

She was embarrassed and shifted, looking over to Christine at her suggestion, and she nodded. "That would be enjoyable." She agreed, and tried to give Christine a smile. "Somewhere comfortable sounds lovely."

[Lucius Servius]

Lucius laughs audibly, then speaks softly, but still loud enough for all to hear.

"I never said anything of the sort! Besides, why should I? What need has the spider to bargain with the fly already trapped in his web? Even so, I have kept my mouth shut. I seem to recall you are the one who constantly keeps bringing it up!? As though in your heart of hearts you yearn for the secret to be revealed. Well if that is your desire I can think of no better party to reveal it too then this one. If not, shut up and stop pretending you have some power over me."

Ultimatum made, Lucius smiles briefly at Jean-Jack in recognition for interposing himself between the Gangrel and Christine before directing his attention fully to Christine.

"Miss Daye, the theatre would be wonderful. It seems only but a short time ago I was present with Prince Eric's ward Seraph. Also to answer your question a little prematurely, what makes my soul sing is when i feel i am able to enter in closer communion with the many faces of the goddess through word, act, and deed."

Jean-Jacques nods toward Rhona as she recognises her approach caused alarm

“My thanks Miss Rhona for your care and considering of Miss Daye”

A similar nod toward Christine and he relaxes his position and posture as Rhona moves away slightly

He smiles at mention of retiring to a suitable location

He watches Angelina’s growing unease at the social bonds that ensured her in the conversation with Lucius

How we watched your taking flight into his embrace that evening, he has an eye for lineage, and well, Villon’ line is rather an attraction eh Lorcan? Yes.

As Lucius proposes the theatre, he simply nods, a signal of understanding rather than agreement of support.

As they begin to move away from the river, toward the city itself, he speaks to Christine

"The theatre? By all means! I honestly don't think I've had the privilege of attending the establishment here in the city yet. It's just been...such a busy year." She smiles brightly, alight with anticipation of exploring somewhere a little new, and certainly outside of her recent experience.

When was the last time she had stepped foot inside such a place? Surely not for...over a decade perhaps. Goodness knows it was beyond the means of the girl before she had met Lackgrim.

She kept her posture soft and languid as possible, not wishing to cause any further concern or assert herself more than was proper. She had half a suspicion that the Elder might even baulk at the idea of a cross-dressing young gangrel joining them at a location of such pedigree.

As she walked she thought carefully about Christine's question, her head tilted slightly as she pondered. Lunaris had asked much the same question, but she wasn't sure if she would give much the same answer.

"Nothing quite stirs my heart as much as the feeling of work well received. When I can truly find the essence of another and let them see it for themselves through my art, and in so doing spread a little joy and wonder on a dark night. If I can sooth the soul of another, it resonates with my own." She said with a warm smile, her face a little more mature and serious a moment or two, though nonetheless joyful.
